Christmas... and more

Alright, I started uploading pictures of Christmas and I got carried away. There are also pictures from Thanksgiving, etc. I miss all these faces and places, so I thought I would just upload a ton so I can look at them whenever and remember how much I miss and love you guys and our good times.

Sweetness personified.

Groan. Miss. This.

Precious faces

Love this face.
Both of them.

Catch-Up --- Cruise's One Year Birthday

I am so behind! In November we celebrated Cruise's first birthday. That year went by so quickly. It was the best year yet! Cruise makes life such a joy for Eric and me. We're having so much fun with him at this age. He's walking, and imitates us constantly (and at the funniest times), and is the sweetest little cuddly guy. He gives me hugs all the time--puts his arms around my neck and his face on my cheek and squeezes and makes the cutest cooing sound. He's really interested in cause and effect. Whenever something happens that surprises him, or knocks him over, or bumps him, he does it over and over again. If I tell him not to do something, he'll try to do it as much as he can. =) Smiling the whole time, of course. Last week he burned his hand on our heater and I hoped he would at least have learned not to touch it again. On the contrary, he has a fascination with it now. As I was trying to teach him not to touch it he got frustrated that I was pulling his hand away and grabbed my face with a little war cry. I stared at him in shock. Then, a concerned look crossed his face and he threw his arms around my neck and hugged me. How cute is that?

We really enjoyed having most the grandparents up here in San Francisco close to or on Cruise's birthday. Cruise loves his presents! Especially his Mickey airplane and his farm animal set.

Just like his dad

A man loves a drill. Cruise found one of his dad's toys and was fascinated by it. He was very sad when I took it away from him.

But then again, 10 minutes later he got into some of my makeup. =)

HALLOWEEN

Halloween was fun this year. Cruise was a tiger, okay, actually he was Tigger. And just an FYI, the tummy on the suit was stuffed--it added about 5 pounds to him. =) Eric and I did what we usually do: we wait 'till one day before and try to figure out costumes for ourselves that are as quick, simple, and cheap as possible. We're so boring. Maybe next Halloween we'll do better. We decided to be cat burglars. Or ninjas. We had gloves and a flashlight but on the way into the ward Halloween party someone asked if we were ninjas and Eric said, "Yep" and threw the flashlight back in the car. He was like, "Sweet, now I don't have to wear gloves or carry a flashlight." Whichever one people called us, burglar or ninja, we happily agreed to. My mask definitely looked more like a ninja mask because the eye holes were bothering me so much I had to make it into one big eye hole.

Cruise, on the other hand, was pretty clearly a tiger (=) okay a tigger), even with the hood off his head. His hair blended nicely. He even started growling a couple days before Halloween; I have no idea why.

The day before Halloween Cruise and I joined most of the other dental school moms and visited Eric at school for lunch. It was fun seeing all the kiddos running around in their costumes. The other kid-less students get a kick out of it.
