It's been real...

Has it really been two years since we moved to San Francisco? It's been such an experience! We've loved it. What a place. We'll keep these memories close the rest of our lives. We're moving just a half-hour outside of the city for the remainder of our time at UoP. We decided we might as well enjoy some fabulous weather for a year since we don't know where we'll be for the next 6.

In just a couple of days Eric will be done with his second year in dental school. Third year? He can't be a third-year already. C-R-A-Z-Y. Crazy, but exciting. Time for oral surgery applications.

Below: Our first week in San Francisco

Man, I'm glad I grew those bangs out.

Awesome sib's

Here's a picture of all my siblings from me down... and Cruise is in there too. I stole this picture from you, Jen. It made me miss all you guys a ton. I'd say you're each pretty rad. Can't wait to see you!

Dinner in the City

This was a fun dinner in the city last week... and quite possibly the best part of the evening? Finding a parking spot right out front that cost zero dollars. Unheard of.

Being sick is no fun

...especially when it's been two weeks.

Lost camera, musical genius

So our camera got lost somewhere between Peru and southern California and here. Hence, I haven't been able to post any of the cute pictures we had on it. However, this will now force me to learn how to use our much more complicated video camera. Hopefully I'll get something up here sometime this year.

There was one thing I had to post really quickly. Last night we were watching American Idol and Cruise was just playing with some blocks. One of the singers ended with his last note and all of a sudden Cruise sings out the exact same note with accompanying vowel sound. It was hilarious. Seriously, it was the exact pitch! My kid's a musical genius! Just kidding, but it was really astounding. Eric and I laughed so hard and he kept doing it over and over, and the pitch started sliding all over the place. I tried to get it on video, but he'd lost the pitch by then, even though I kept trying to get him to do it. I turned off the camera and bam, he starts singing it again. I guess that's how it is. You'll just have to believe me. =)

We miss you, familia. And your weather. We had such a blast last week. Thanks for keeping me busy while Eric was in Peru. Cruise had such fun exploring your houses and playing with his cousins. Every time we go home I feel like he has a learning burst. Today he clearly said, "dangerous." Well... it was clear to me. =)

Cruise misses the fountain, mom. And your lacrosse sticks, Nicholas and Jacob. He's been carrying around a spatula and trying to hold a ball with it. Ha.

I refilled on sporting events and succeeded in picking the right tires in Eric's unreachable absence (thanks for the help, Lorden) -- even if I did have to go to Tireman 3 days in a row. Golfing was amazing, thanks to my coaches, Eric and Dad Baker. I got to put sunblock on for the first time this year. I love that smell. I learned never to park in front of that street drain ever again. Ever. I hold my keys tighter now.
We'll come back soon. Thanks for keeping our rooms ready at the Dos Vientos Rancho Loco and Hacienda Casa Lotta. Love you.
