Happy Birthday, Mom

Today would have been mom's 55th birthday. She was so young. It's so hard not to be able to call her or give her a big hug on her special day. Now I wish I would have really gone out of my way to make her birthday special last year when I had the chance. She sure made my last birthday special. She arranged a family party and made a great dinner and cake like she always did for me. And she gave me a massive present that was totally unexpected. I watched her as I opened it and I could tell she was so excited for me to have it. She had such a sparkle in her eyes and I know she got so much joy out of giving it to me. She loved making us happy. Thanks, mom. We sure miss you. I hope you know how much we love you. We'll try our best to celebrate the significance of today. Your life and the way you lived it is definitely something to celebrate.
