Birthday #3 for Cruise Preston

For Cruise's 3rd birthday, Grandma and Grandpa Baker and Kelly came to TX to celebrate. We went to Rainforest Cafe, which Cruise absolutely loved. Then we had ice-cream with a cool race car cake and opened lots of presents. For the rest of the visit we did the usual--ate at as many fantastic restaurants we could find (and subsequently gained 5 lbs each), caught a movie while G-ma and G-pa watched the kiddos, and did a lot of shopping. Everything I love. =) We also got to watch Cruise's first t-ball practice. Amazing footage below.

And here's that t-ball footage. The coach was having them swing at the tee without the ball, drop the bat, and then run the bases. We barely missed the part where Cruise swung the bat, but he smacked the tee with all his strength and flung the bat away into the group of kids. Then he was off!! He got the speed part, but maybe he missed something else.

Today he revealed to me that ESPN now has live football games streaming on the iPhone. It even has DVR capabilities and, "remarkeable clarity." It is a sad day for women everywhere.

On an entirely different note, yesterday I happened to look over his shoulder as he was composing an email to catch the sentence, "In order to conduct our research we will need to harvest the heads of many cadavers...." Eeeeewww! For real? Just your run of the mill request. NOT. Disgusting.
